It’s obvious Netanyahu intention is to colonize Gaza and hand it to settlers rather than compromise. And for what? Self-fulfilling religious prophecies like the Christian fundy segment in the US that cheer on Armageddon and waiting for the arrival of Jesus? Half the population of Gaza is children for goodness sake. Kids, whether Arabs or Jews, should not be dying for reasons like this.
The right thing to do is go after Hamas. Then work with more moderate Palestinians to hammer out a deal for two-state treaty.. That’s what happened in Germany after WW2. That’s how ethnic conflicts around the world are eventually resolved when morality is the concern rather than simply extreme nationalism. Just like Jews want a homeland so do Palestinians. Just like Palestinians want a homeland so do Jews. That’s fair.
