The US are responding with less than 0.1% of their conventional capabilities. This is to minimize deaths for Yemen’s people and reduce risk of expanding the conflict to even more nations.. So far the damage Houthis have caused has been mostly
minor and mostly economic. If they eventually kill a bunch on people on one of those ships though, especially if they happen to be Americans, that 0.1% number is going to jump dramatically. .
