Agree…briefly, yes droneswarm saturation is also a vulnerability because the destroyers protecting the carrier only each have approximately 90 of the missiles for shooting the drones down, and aside from the cost inequity between the drones and the missiles, we have the problem that the destroyers cannot be resupplied at sea. So, the way it plays out is that when all 6 of the destroyers missile supplies are depleted they are forced to withdraw to a friendly port…and the carrier must go with them or itself be undefended…aside from its own aegis system, of course. Basically this is just winning by attrition of your opponent’s defensive weapons, as opposed to a hypersonic missile attack actually going THROUGH those defenses.
