Even if the EU doesn’t have a unified position on the Gaza war, the war is also ongoing in the Westbank, where the highest court declared the international community should act:
Not in any way render the ongoing occupation legitimate
take steps not to prolong but to bring to an end the unlawful occupation as quickly as possible.
Massive military raids, mass imprisonments in facilities where ill treatment and torture is the systemic part of the occupation are crimes against humanity, it should not be legitimised nor downplayed.
International law, international humanitarian law and the geneva conventions are not optional, the UN-Charter is not and even not the rome statute.
The ICC should come much more forceful to declare illegal acts. To declare by court order to also force the international community to bring to justice extremist settlers and soldiers at lower levels in the Military in violation of international laws while operating in the west bank, where an occupying power should not use excessive military force but only policing, where no military rule should be applied against palestinians and the civilians should be served and protected from excessive force.
The international community should also declare that israel could not and should not govern any longer in the occupied palestinian territories.
Israeli settlers should be see consequences and see more restrictions from traveling and the possibility to face justice by universal jurisdiction, because of the unlawful occupation.
There should be no prolonging of the unlawful occupation, which would otherwise simply bring no peace.
