This is a fair criticism about many protestors… nearly to a man leftists.. Its understandable opposing war, deaths and any fanatics on both sides of the conflict but treating Hamas as innocent and just blaming Israel is unfair. Hamas are undemocratic religious extremists that want to wipe Israel. For any protestors to be taken seriously they need to be more balanced by criticizing Hamas more as well as narrowing down their criticism of Israel to specific individuals, organization or parties rather than the entire Israeli state or “zionism”. Those that try to equate Zionism with “fascism” are antisemitic. Zionism is just the desire for an ethnic homeland for Jews… which is the exact same thing Palestinians want for themselves as do all other ethnic groups in the world.
