Did the Americans try to use their influence to push the two countries toward reconciliation?
That is the wrong question because it is never in America’s best interest to see the Arabic countries at peace with each other! What America desires is a conflict among all the Arab and Muslim countries! Algeria borders seven countries: Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Niger, Mali, Mauritania, Western Sahara but Morocco borders only two countries: Algeria and Western Sahara. Therefore, it looks like Morocco could not get along with the only country on its border.
