Unless Masoud Pezeshkian was anti-Israel, he would never have been allowed to take office, even if “elected”. There is no democracy in Iran, everything is predetermined by the mullahs well ahead of time. The people of Iran have got to be tired of being led around by the nose, being herded like sheep and told what to do. Billions of their dollars wasted on their mullahs spending it on proxies like Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen and militias both in Syria and Iraq. This is why the ordinary Iranian people are suffering from high prices for everything. Their Rial tumbled from 32,000 to the dollar to 600,000 to the dollar in Feb. 2023. Inflation is figured to be about 46 %. I can’t understand why a rich country like Iran, who have immense oil wealth, why the people are in such poor shape. Why are they putting up with this? The only reason I can think of is that if they protest against their rulers, the IRGC will shoot them dead in the streets. Nice place this Iran!!!
