When I first read the story, I was in complete shock, it sounded like it was some kind of a science fiction story. They were thinking way in advance and they had the merchandise diverted to them before they got to their final destination and then they tampered with them and inserted explosives in them and then the items reached their final destination and then using high tech technology, they remotely had them explode in the hands of the victims. This is what you call pure evil. What this means is that nobody in the world is safe from these people who have the ability to cause death and destruction using technology from the safety of their own homes.
