I can see why that particular movie would cause panic…themes of corrupt media, government, and religious leaders being met by one who declines to remain passive…and his ideas spread. The worst fear of any oppressor is the spread of the idea that death is an acceptable risk to attain freedom. Once that idea gets out, what can you threaten them with to keep them enslaved? Whether that thinking is from Patrick Henry shouting “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!”…or it is from a Palestinian shouting “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will be Free!”…makes little difference.
