It is the refusal of Hamas to operate under international laws and norms that have put the entire population of Gaza at risk, and sullied the reputation of the UN and its agencies.
There really is no excuse. The UN should have told Hamas fairly and squarely that it cannot continue while they are holding the entire population of Gaza hostage, and now new hostages kidnapped from Israel.
Setting genocide as your organisational objective is completely unacceptable!
