Her thinking is misguided. If the people of the US want a better life, then they need to assist countries like Israel to keep democracy alive. Iran spends billions on terrorist proxies like Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis. Add to this the militias they maintain in Iraq and Syria. The Iranian people are getting bilked out of all of this money due to a few religious crackpots running the country. If the US and other democracies doesn’t help countries like Israel, then these kind of things are going to land on our doorstep.
