Just because someone abandons a religion doesn’t mean they have to be hostile to everything that ever came from that religion. Even Nazis and Communists had a few good ideas. Adopt good ideas from from anywhere. Keep the good, Throwaway the bad. Just avoid the cult mentality when it comes to reason.
